ABOUT ME
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
A designer and professional athlete driven by creativity, ambition and adventure.
My name is Maaike Coljé, 29 years old, and currently combining my career as a professional gravel cyclist with my passion for creativity and design. I am a person full of dreams and ambitions that I want to live up to. I can describe myself as a true go-getter who is willing to make the dreams and ambitions a reality. I am a hard working and eager to learn.
With a background in Product Design Engineering, I graduated Cum Laude from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences after previously studying color and interior design at Nimeto Utrecht. Throughout the years I developed a design approach that combines aesthetics with functionality, always looking for balance between clean visuals, materiality and purposeful design.
Sports play a central role in my life. After racing five years in the professional WorldTour peloton, I now compete as a professional gravel cyclist. Cycling continuously influences the way I observe, create and design and inspires me in my work.
I am especially interested in projects within sports, health, outdoor and lifestyle industries, where creativity and performance naturally come together.
